This killer at-home cardio workout has HIIT circuits that will have your heart pumping in to time! No equipment needed.
TWO workout posts in one month? Oh yeah friends, this is happening. Because I care about you, and I want you to work on your fitness to strengthen your bod and keep those endorphins pumping. We’re living in crazy times and need all the endorphins we can get.
To celebrate Work it Wednesday, let’s do another bodyweight burner. This one is focused on heart-pumping HIIT intervals mixed with strength bursts to give you a good cardio workout without having to leave home.
Fun fact: I hate machine cardio. Two years ago, I trained for a half-marathon completely on a treadmill and it was a game-changer…in a bad way. Those were the days where I got in my training miles before work, worked my day job, sat in two hours of traffic then taught fitness classes/personal trained clients at night. The thought of that routine makes me shudder. I’m still a little traumatized.
The days of me being able to hop on a machine and log more than 20-30 minutes at a time are long gone. I do still hop on the stairmill for a good booty burn a few times a week, but honestly I have more fun jumping around like a goofball to get my cardio in. And fitness should be fun right? Pro tip: IT SHOULD.
This, my friends, is one of those jump around like a goofball kind of workouts.
Here are video demonstrations of each move:

So if you hate the dreadmill as much as I do, or need a good at-home workout to keep in your back pocket for when you aren’t feeling the gym, give this a try! Be sure to honor your body and modify if needed. Always check with your doctor before making any fitness changes.
Your Turn:
- What is your favorite way to get cardio in? Do you like HIIT, running, classes, machines, etc.?
- What other types of workouts would you like to see?
- What is your favorite way to get the endorphins pumping?
HIIT is great because it gets in the strength as well! No boring monotony!
But I do love cycling! That’s my cardio of choice!
Oooh YES to cycling! I love it too, but lately haven’t liked any of the music at the classes I have gone to recently. I so wish I could find an instructor with good music – I would be all about it!
I love to run but I hate the treadmill. I only use it for interval/speed work if I have to. I also enjoy HIIT workouts because they are quick and effective.
Agreed! An outdoor run on a beautiful day is the best. I’m so glad the weather is turning around so it will be nice enough to go run
Love HIIT and this workout looks fantastic!
Thank you Ashlyn – I love a good HIIT too. Let me know if you give it a try 🙂
YES thank you for this, I have been wanting to do circuits like this at the gym. PINNED! Perfect for what I’m looking for
Yay! This comment just made my day girl. I hope you like the workout!
