This full-body Tabata workout will have your muscles burning from head to toe! It requires hardly any space and is perfect for travel.
Confession: quick and dirty bodyweight circuits are one of my favorite ways to workout. There is just something about working up a good sweat without any of the extra fluff (needing to go to the gym, using a ton of equipment, etc.) getting in the way. Don’t get me wrong, I definitely enjoy using my fitness toys (like the BOSU and resistance bands) but when you’re short on time a good bodyweight circuit can be just what you need.
We are moving into that time of year when it can be really easy to let your motivation to keep moving and eating well fall by the wayside. It’s colder, darker and things get really busy with the holidays coming up. Plus, let’s not forget about all of that amazing holiday food. While we can, and should absolutely enjoy our time celebrating the holidays (that includes some treats and spending lots of time with loved ones), we can’t lose sight of self-care in the process.
While you may not be too worried about your summer bod in the dead of winter, your muscles, joints, and heart still want you to move. When you take just a little time to move your body and still feed it well, there will be so much love for you to give your loved ones this holiday season. Even if you plan to go balls to the wall in January, still try to do the best you can now!
I originally did this workout a few weeks back during a live broadcast on my Facebook page. It is a 30-minute full-body burner that requires no space or equipment. Perfect to do during your holiday travels! Check out the video below if you’d like to follow along with me real-time 🙂
Or if a graphic is more your style, here’s a version you can pin.
The workout consists of four Tabata-style circuits that work your entire body. I provide modifications in the video, so the workout is totally suitable for all levels.
Happy moving!
Your Turn:
- How do you stay on top of your workouts during the busy holiday season?
- What are some of your favorite ways to workout while traveling?
Les! Rock on – I love this post! Bodyweight circuits are sooooo my fav (especially since I can do them at home with my kiddos are napping). TOTALLY putting on my to-do list this week!
Dude! This is great. I already do some of these and this workout would be very easy to incorporate into my entire routine.
Thanks so much Talia! Enjoy 🙂
Looks like a great tabata. I did a set this morning. It is my go to workout for non-Cross Fit days. Great way to work up a quick sweat
Thanks Stephanie! I agree, tabatas are definitely a good way to go when you’re short on time.
