Merry Christmas Eve!
If you’re busy, traveling or short on time it can be really easy to overlook working out. I wanted to share the workout below to help you work up a good sweat even if you can’t get to a gym or stick to your normal routine. All you need is your bodyweight and a little space to get moving. Complete three rounds of the circuit below, resting as needed.
As always, honor your body’s limitations and check with a doctor before making any fitness changes.
A few form cues/demonstrations:
- Feel free to scale the push-ups for your fitness level…whether done on your heels or toes do whatever is challenging but doable.
- Plie Squat – with your feet in a wide stance and toes pointed out, be sure not to let the knee extend past the ankle as you squat. Press through your heels as you come back up.
- Russian Twist – Medicine Ball not required
- Lunges – keep weight in the forward heel and do not let knee extend past your ankle as you lunge
Enjoy and Happy Holidays!
I will definitely get back to posting more fitness-related content in the next few weeks. What would you guys like to see?
I have a hard time creating or motivating myself with circuits to do on my own…having this quick one to remember has been a huge lifesaver! I’ve been doing it at home when I’m crunched on time and I’ve even done it at the gym when I’ve been a little earlier to my boot camp classes. Thanks Les! I love your blog. ๐
I’m so glad you enjoy the workout. Thanks so much for reading! ๐
