This Mango Peach Matcha Smoothie is a refreshing, energizing pick-me-up!
Welcome back to Matcha Week! Today’s recipe combines two of my favorite things – matcha and smoothies.
I jokingly (not-so-jokingly) refer to summer as smoothie season, because there’s just nothing like a refreshing smoothie in the summer. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll still go ham on a smoothie during the fall and winter, but often times prefer the richer flavors. During the fall and winter I’m more likely to reach for a chocolately smoothie that’s a little heavier and loaded with ingredients like nut butter.
But during the summer, it’s team fruity smoothies all the way. This smoothie has the ultimate combination of summer flavors and is perfect on a hot summer day. Bonus: the matcha collagen provides a one-two punch of protein and caffeine that won’t leave you feeling jittery.
Frozen mango and avocado have got to be one of my all-time favorite smoothie combinations. Together, they make the smoothie SO creamy – and the mango pairs perfectly with the peach matcha collagen. The base is coconut water to make the smoothie extra-refreshing, especially if you’ve been sweating it out in the sun.
