Happy Monday you beautiful souls. Let’s start the week off with tacos and margaritas to bust through those Monday blues.
Can I be honest with you guys for a second? I am a total wuss when it comes to alcohol. Which sounds like a pretty funny joke to anyone who knew me five years ago when I could toss anything and everything back like it was nothing. Oooohhhhhh college. But for real though, these days when it comes to cocktails I am a one and done kind of girl, if I even have one at all. Usually if I’m out for dinner, I choose dessert over a cocktail because that’s just how I roll.
However, these margaritas may make me change my tune. These margaritas are part cocktail, part smoothie. I know right? The two best things. Basically you need this.
If anything resembles a smoothie on the texture and fruitiness front, I’m all in. They are perfect to blend up for your Cinco de Mayo celebration, or anytime you’re craving a little frothy fun. Ok, “frothy fun” sounds ridiculous and weird, but we are just going to go with it.
And before you go get your tequila on, be sure you check out the five AMAZING taco recipes below from my blogging buddies! They would all pair perfectly with these margaritas.
- 1½ Cups Frozen Pineapple
- ¼ Cup Pineapple Juice
- ¼ Cup Lime Juice
- ¼ Cup Tequila
- 2 Teaspoons Orange Liqueur
- ½ - 1 Tablespoon Agave
- 1½ Cups Frozen Cherries
- ¼ Cup Pineapple Juice
- ¼ Cup Lime Juice
- ¼ Cup Tequila
- 2 Teaspoons Orange Liqueur
- ½ - 1 Tablespoon Agave
- Blend the pineapple ingredients in a high-speed blender until smooth. Divide evenly among two glasses.
- Blend the cherry ingredients in a high-speed blender until smooth. Pour into the glasses with the pineapple mixture.
- Garnish with fresh lime and pineapple. Serve immediately.

Haha exactly…I’m like one and…I would have rather had some cake. We are such adults.
I’m not really one for alcohol either – honestly, I just drink kombucha while everyone’s enjoying vodka cranberries, hahaha. But I do like a good margarita every now and then! With LOTS of guac, of course.
I can’t tell you how many bars I’ve snuck bottles of kombucha into…because I’m a party animal like that haha.

Pineapple was my good luck food back in the day! Mixing it with cherries, oh snap, I probably would have won the lotto if I drank this! LOL!
Pineapple is totally a great good luck food!
hahhaha YES. College me vs Current me = crazy difference for my alcohol intake. I can have about 1 drink now but also need to supplement with a LOT of water to not have a headache the next day. Something in my system must have changed. But whatevs, dessert > drinks any day!
But let’s cheers with one of these margaritas and maybe some lime cheesecake or something 😉
Aging is a dangerous and unforgiving game my friend.
