I love sharing some of my favorite places to eat and sweat around the Seattle area. Today I’m going to tell you all about my new favorite cycling studio!
I get questions all the time about my favorite things to do/see/eat/where to workout in Seattle. Slowly but surely, I’m getting around to sharing my favorite places to eat and sweat in Seattle. For today’s Work it Wednesday, I wanted to introduce you guys to a fun new cycling studio I’ve been loving: City Cycle Seattle.
City Cycle is located in Greenwood in North Seattle and offers fun, upbeat cycling classes with some of the best music around. The studio opened this past spring and has a ton of bright, open space that is absolutely beautiful. The staff is really friendly and welcoming, so even if you are new to cycling, everyone is willing to help you get setup and feel more comfortable. Once class gets started, the lights go down, the music comes on, and that’s when things get really fun.
Anyone who knows me knows I am not exactly a cardio bunny. In fact, traditional methods of cardio (running, elliptical, machines, etc.) bore me to death and I avoid them at all costs. Group fitness classes are my usual form of cardio because I’m far less likely to phone it in. That being said, I still definitely have my moments where I get bored during cardio-based classes, but City Cycle is a non-boring cardio zone.
The instructors are really motivating and upbeat without being cheesy, and their playlists are the BEST. Music can really make or break a workout, and I always love the tunes at City Cycle. They also have really fun theme rides like 90’s Throwback Thursday Rides, Timberlake vs. Bieber, and Drake vs. The Weeknd. Ummm…yes PLEASE.
If you’re in the Seattle area or are planning a Seattle trip and are looking for fun places to sweat, definitely stop by City Cycle. I know you’ll love it.
Your Turn:
- Where are some of your favorite places to workout in the Seattle area?
- Are you a fan of group classes?
I’ll have to give this studio a try next time I’m in town! LOVE group classes. So much fun for motivation and building community.
I totally agree! I’d love to hear what you think of it when you visit 🙂
