This White Chocolate Matcha Latte adds a sweet twist to the traditional matcha latte. It’s dairy-free and is a great source of protein and healthy fat.
Last year I got introduced to culinary cacao butter, and have honestly never looked back. How’s that for a blog post intro?
Today for Matcha Week, we are making an epic White Chocolate Matcha Latte that is to die for. This past holiday season at Whole Foods, the special seasonal drink at the coffee bar was a White Chocolate Matcha Latte and it was DELICIOUS. Too delicious. Like real-deal milk and sugar delicious. As soon as I tasted it I knew I had to try my hand at a homemade version, and I wanted to figure out a way to make it without traditional white chocolate.
Challenge accepted. That’s where the cacao butter comes in.
Cacao butter is basically pure solid cacao, and in addition to being an excellent moisturizer adds an amazing chocolatey flavor to just about anything.
This White Chocolate Matcha Latte is super simple – simply blend together water, almond milk, cacao butter, Vital Proteins Collagen Matcha and a touch of maple syrup for sweetness.
So easy. So delicious. I typically like having this latte hot, but you could also make an iced version using cold almond milk and serving over ice. You go, Glen Coco(a Butter).
